Tatar speaks ahead of OTS Council of Heads of State: the concept of one nation, three states is becoming widespread

President Ersin Tatar stated that his country is advancing its relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan every day, saying, “The concept of ‘One nation, three states’ is becoming widespread.”

According to AA, President Tatar made statements to journalists regarding the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which will be held in Gabala, Azerbaijan, on October 6-7.

Tatar emphasized the importance of the TRNC’s presence in the OTS as an observer member and stated that they are developing relations with member countries of the organization.

Tatar, highlighting “the importance of the TRNC’s deep-rooted presence in the Eastern Mediterranean for Turkic states in geopolitical and geostrategic terms,” stated that the TRNC will once again be represented at the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the OTS with its own flag and constitutional name.

Tatar explained that the TRNC is advancing its relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan every day, saying, “The concept of ‘One nation, three states’ is becoming widespread. Especially after the Second Karabakh War, Azerbaijan’s interest in the TRNC has led to the strengthening of this understanding both there and in the TRNC. We are striving to advance our relations not only with Azerbaijan but also with other member countries of the union.”
