Arif Salih Kırdağ, responding to Bahar Sancar's questions on Gündem Kıbrıs Web TV, stated, "I have drawn my sword, and I am waiting," indicating his readiness to discuss the Presidency and the Cyprus issue in great detail. He invited all candidates to join him for a live broadcast.
Emphasizing his deep understanding of the Cyprus issue, Kırdağ, a 74-year-old veteran, challenged the other candidates, asking, "Where did you fight? Where did you serve in the military?"

Kırdağ stated that if elected, he would immediately restart negotiations, calling on the other side to begin talks promptly. He emphasized that he would adopt a resolute stance on finding a solution.
"I Will Open 4 New Border Crossings"
Explaining that much needs to be done regarding the Cyprus issue, Kırdağ said that if elected, he would open 4 border crossings within 3 months. Presidential candidate Arif Salih Kırdağ stated that the border crossings would be modernized with artificial intelligence-supported systems, and the ports would be opened to trade with the whole world.
"I Will Make Life Cheaper"
Kırdağ emphasized that from the moment he takes office, he will take steps to make life cheaper. He stated that the President's sole duty is not the Cyprus issue, and that he should intervene in domestic issues and produce solutions to problems. Noting that there are many problems in the country, from agriculture to animal husbandry, from tourism to education, Kırdağ stated that he is a candidate for the rapid and permanent solution of all problems.

Kırdağ said that if elected, he will build a port in Gemikonağı and start international trade, saying, "Products will meet the world with the stamp of the Republic of Cyprus. We will do planned and programmed work. With this, we will implement a planned economy. Thus, we will set out without losing."
"Israel is Using Southern Cyprus"
Evaluating Southern Cyprus' armament and relations with Israel, Kırdağ noted that the ongoing hostility between South and North has led to the imperialist power, Israel, turning to Southern Cyprus. "They are all supporting and using the Greeks," said Kırdağ, stating that Israel wants to take over all of Cyprus.
